On October 28th 2017, Pope Francis addressed a message to the members of the Italian Conference of Secular Institutes present in Rome. This message is surely also beneficial for every person who is a member of a secular institute.
In this message, the Pope encourage the secular institute members to rediscover the prophetic sense of their mission in the midst of the world. "Your place is to "stay in" with the transforming presence of the Gospel." Thus, the secular institute member is able to proclaim the Gospel in every aspect of his life. It is more important to act and be God's word for the world.
The Pope continue his message by proposing five verbs to guide the apostolic action of secular institute members: pray, discern, share, encourage, and have sympathy.
